TIMELINE VERBAL TENSE
Hi everybody!! here you have three tables for you to study the that you like.
-Present Simple: Happens now.
-Present continuous: the present continuous is used to talk about something that is happening at the moment in which we speak. (Presente continuo + adverbio de tiempo). Ej. I am playing tennis next saturday.
-Present Perfect: Something that has happened from an unspecified time in the past: a) to the present. B) that may continue up to now.
-Present Perfect continuous:
We use the Present Perfect Continuous to show that something started in the past and has continued up until now. "For five minutes," "for two weeks," and "since Tuesday" are all durations which can be used with the Present Perfect Continuous. (I have lived in Elche for 20 years) (I have been living in Elche for 20 years).(I have written 20 emails this morning= result) (I have been writting emails this morning = action).
-Future: Something that will happen. (will-going to). Will: Predicciones ( I think tomorrow it will rain), promesas (I promise i will go) y decisiones espontaneas (I will open the door). Going to: Predicciones basadas en algo (it is cloudy so it is going to rain) y planes a medio y largo plazo (I am going to buy a new house soon).
-Future perfect: Describing action ocurring before another action in the future. (By 2030 Scientist will have found the cure for Cancer). Acción que ya estará terminada cuando llege un punto del futuro.
-Future Continuous: Action that will already be in process in the future. (Tomorrow at this time i will be having dinner with friends).
-Past Simple: Something that happened at a specific time in the past. (I went to London last year).
-Past continuous: We use the past continuous for a long action already in the past was interrupted. The action is interrupted and continuous past action that causes disruption in the past simple. "When" and "while" point to the use of the past simple and continuous. In general, we use the past simple right after "when" and the past continuous after "while." (i was taking a bath when the phone rang) (I was cooking my dinner while i was watching the "The BBC").
-Past Perfect: Something that happened before another actión in the past. (When i arrived they had eaten everything).
-Past perfect continuous: We use the past perfect continuous in-progress actions in the past before another action in the past. The past perfect continuous is used for action in the process and the simple past for the action that interrupted the action in process. We refer to something we've been doing over a period of time, therefore, we often use prepositions of time "for" and "since".
Espero que os sirva de ayuda!!!!!!!
