PRESENT SIMPLE

• Hábitos:                          I wake up at 7:00 a.m.
• Estádos permanentes:     I live in Elche.
• Horarios (timetables):    The bus leaves alt 8:30 a.m.
• Verdades universales:    Water boils at 100º.

• +  S + V (3ª persona "S") + COMPLEMENTOS.
• -   S + DON'T / DOESN'T + V.
• ?  DO / DOES + S + V ?

• TIME EXPRESSIONS: At the moment, now, today, this week / summer / morning...etc.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

• Algo que ocurre en el momento en que se habla:   She is reading a book.
• Algo que ocurre en un tiempo concreto del presente:  My sister is staying with me this week.
• Planes a corto plazo: She is having dinner with her family tonight.
• Futuro próximo, (para hablar de algo que está decidido que se hará en el futuro próximo): I'm going to the party tonight.

• + S + TO BE + V-ing.
• -  S + TO BE (negativo) + V-ing.
• ? TO BE + S + V-ing.

• TIME EXPRESSIONS: Currently, lately,these days...etc.

TIME EXPRESSIONS (utilización)

• Detrás del SUJETO y delante del VERBO: I never listen to hip-hop music.
• Detñas de la estructura SUJETO + TO BE: She isn't normally sad.
• Entre AUXILIAR Y VERBO:                     They don't usually go to parties.
• Si es una estructura larga, va al final:           My mother goes to the cinema once a month.

HOW TO FORM THE -ING FORM.

• Verbos "ending in": -E; esta -e- desaparece y ponemos la terminación -ing: dance__ dancing.
• Verbos de una sílaba que acaban en VOCAL + CONSONANTE, duplicamos la consonante: sit__ sitting.
• Verbos de dos sílabas agudas, que acaban en VOCAL + CONSONANTE, duplicamos la consonante: begin__ beginning.
• Verbos que acaban en -L-, duñicamos la -L-: travel__ travelling.
