1. ADJETIVES

• Comparison of superiority (Mayor que...)(El mayor de...)  

                  Short

                       - Comparative: adjective + er + than. Ex: Shorter than...

                        

                       - Superlative: The + adjective + est. Ex: The shortest...

                      2 syllable -y /-ow: adjetive + ier/wer Ex: Friendly/ Narrow ----> Friendlier/Narrower

                     

                      C + V + C: Duplica la última letra. Ex: Big ----> Bigger

                   Long

                       - Comparative: more + adjective + than. Ex: More beautiful than...

                       - Superlative: The + most + adjective. Ex: The most beautiful...

                   Irregular verbs

                        - Good :  Better (comparative), the best (superlative)

                                                     

                        - Bad : Worse (comparative), the worst (superlative)

                        - For : Further (comparative), the further (superlative)

                                                              

• Comparison of inferiority (menos que..)(El que menos)

              (No hay diferencia entre la longitud del adjetivo)

                      - Comparative: Less + adjetive + than. Ex: Less interesting/fast than...   

         

                      - Superlative: The least + adjetive. Ex: The least interesting/fast 

• Comparison of (in)equality ((no) tan... como)

                       - (not) as + adjetive + as...

               

                Ex: He in as good as him

                      She is as intelligent as her sister

                      These shoes are not as expensive as the others

    2.  ADVERBS

•    La mayoría tienen + de 2 sílabas, por lo tanto se utiliza la fórmula de los adj. largos :

                             -  More + adverb. Ex: more clearly than
                             -  The most + adverb. Ex: the most quickly               

•    Si no es el caso, se utilizará la de los adj. cortos sin than :          

                              - Adv. + -er. Ex: faster

                              - The + Adv. + -est. Ex: The earliest

• Irregular verbs:

                              -Good (adj.)----->Well (adv.)---->Better (comparative)---->The best (superlative)

                              -Bad (adj.)------->Badly (adv.)--->Worse (comparative)--->The worst (superlative)
